Farming, fishing, & hunting

The "Baumgartenalm" on the Penken is the summer residence of our cows. At the beginning of October, they will return to the valley at the "Plattnerhof".

Wolfgang is a dairyman who looks after around 40 cattle including calves and bulls. We also have up to 60 pigs in the stables. In summer, we cultivate ca. 35 ha of pastures on the Penken and 12 ha of fields in the valley.

We process milk into cream, butter, yogurt, and ice cream. In the butchery, Hans makes all kinds of sausage, Leberkäse, and aspic, which you can enjoy for breakfast.

The Kramerwirt private fishing area stretches from Zell to Kaltenbach. Swimming around in these mountain waters are rainbow trout, river trout, char, and grayling.

Kramerwirt guests can fish for free from May to the end of September with a stay of at least one week (obligatory fee of € 20 for the Tyrolean Fishing Association). We will be happy to prepare your freshly caught fish according to your specifications.

Located on the Gerlosstein in Hainzenberg is our 280 ha hunting grounds, which are home to roe and red deer as well as roosters, marmots, and chamois.

In the long winter months, two deer feeding stations are filled with hay and feed pellets. Master hunters and gamekeepers Sepp and Walter Schneeberger take care of the grounds.
