Our Farms

The "Baumgartenalm" on the Penken is where our cows spend their summers. Only at the beginning of October to they return to the "Plattnerhof" farm in the valley below.


Wolfgang, our dairyman, looks after around 40 head of cattle including calves and a bull. We also have as many as 60 pigs in the pig shed. In summer, we farm about 35 hectares of alpine pastures on the Penken and around 12 ha of fields in the valley.

We process the milk into cream, butter, yoghurt and ice cream. In our butcher's, Hans makes all varieties of sausage, along with liver cheese and jellied meats, all of which you will be able to enjoy at your breakfast table.
