With the Zillertal Super Ski Pass, you'll be able to roam freely over 500 km of slopes located throughout the entire Zillertal Valley! And with our free ski shuttles and the Zillertal Railway, all of the valley's ski areas are easy to reach without having to jump into your car. The Hintertuxer Glacier is only 19 km from Mayrhofen, which means you get to carve and board 365 days a year!
Ski Zillertal 3000, the biggest contiguous ski region in the Zillertal; including the Hippach, Mayrhofen, Finkenberg and Eggalm/Rastkogel ski areas, this is an enormous ski region that is quite unsurpassed.
157 kilometers of slopes, superbly groomed runs, modern lifts, 4 permanent race hills, snowboard fun park with a half pipe and sound system, along with numerous ungroomed routes for ski tours - this is a winter's dream come true for skiers, carvers and boarders.
The new Ahorn lift
If you prefer things a little quieter, the sunny slopes on the Ahorn will be perfect for you. Opened in December 2006, the Ahorn lift actually consists of two gigantic, 160-passenger gondolas, offering newbies, families, cruisers and powder freaks a whole new dimension of winter enjoyment: first you soar up the mountain on a state-of-the-art lift, then you slice your way back down those broad, treeless and sunny summit slopes and the challenging valley run.
Yet another hot spot on the Ahorn Plateau is the new White Lounge: an igloo village including a chill-out bar made entirely of snow. Every Tuesday, there's a night gondola ride followed by a torchlight hike to the Igloo Party - overnights in this unique location are also possible.
Cleared winter hiking paths (guided hikes are offered by the tourist office every week) and numerous other recreational opportunities - including aquacise at the Mayrhofen Adventure Pool - promise the occasional change of pace.
Vans Penken Park
Snowboarders and freeskiers can look forward to pure freestyle action at the Vans Penken Park, a gigantic snow park that also features a chill area. With new rails, kickers, boxes and clear separation into four lines - public, fun, pro and jib lines - newbies and pros all find just what they've been looking for. The four-seater Sun Jet chair lift - which might as well be called the Fun Jet since it spans precisely the same distance as the park itself - serves as your gateway to numerous runs at higher elevations and truly impressive scenery.
Harakiri on Austria's steepest hill!
Sporty skiers and boarders can show us what they've got out on Austria's steepest ski slope, located right here in Mayrhofen. The average gradient on this hill is 78 percent!
